Training on EU Structures and Communication – YouthHUB activity

As part of our KA3 project “Youth HUB”, NOVUS organized a two-day training focused on understanding the European Union’s institutional framework and effective communication within EU structures.

During the first day, participants explored how the main EU institutions function, their roles in decision-making, and the opportunities they provide for young people and civil society. The sessions combined interactive presentations, group discussions, and practical exercises to deepen understanding of EU values, policies, and communication mechanisms.

On the second day, participants engaged in a simulation of the European Parliament, where they were assigned specific roles—Members of the European Parliament, political group representatives, and media observers. Through this simulation, young people experienced the dynamics of parliamentary debates, negotiations, and voting procedures, fostering critical thinking, teamwork, and democratic participation.

This activity helped strengthen participants’ knowledge of how the EU works in practice and inspired them to become more active citizens contributing to Europe’s democratic processes. 💬✨
